A new look for our Choir as the Summer fades...

Thu, 27 Aug 2026 15:56:45 GMT

Something special is taking shape behind the scenes at St. Scuithins Children’s Choir! ✨

Our new choir dresses are currently in the design and making stage, with fabric shopping now underway to find the perfect rich greens, deep navy tones and soft stretch velour. We’re designing something beautiful, comfortable and practical for our young singers — dresses that allow them to move, sing and perform with confidence. From the first sketches to choosing the final fabrics, every detail is being carefully considered.

We can’t wait to see the finished look!

Our Barn Dance

What a fantastic night we had at our St. Scuithins Children’s Choir Barn Dance! It was a wonderful evening of music, community and plenty of fun, all in support of our choir and the refurbishment of our choir storage room.

The evening began with a piper welcoming guests and piping everyone into the hall, before our musicians introduced themselves and got the evening underway. Our young choir members then joined the musicians to perform two special pieces, before the music continued. We also enjoyed beautiful piano pieces as a lovely transition between parts of the night, along with fantastic music, laughter and a wonderful atmosphere throughout the evening.

We were absolutely overwhelmed by the generosity and support of everyone who attended, donated and helped make the evening such a success. Together, we raised an incredible €1,979.10 ❤️

A huge thank you to our musicians, volunteers, families, supporters and everyone who came along and made the night so memorable. It was a brilliant celebration of music, friendship and community — exactly what St. Scuithins Children’s Choir is all about.
